End of Sophomore Year!

So another year is done, and I just thought I'd post some pictures I drew of memorable moments from my sophomore year. They're super lame drawings and I didn't spend very much time on them at all, but there were some parts of sophomore year that just needed to be documented.

During 1st semester, my buddy Travis played a game called Alan Wake that was awesome and terrifying. I was going to put myself in the picture, but it was too cute with just Travis and Cassidy.

Cassidy and I were super stylin' when we went to The Sarasota Opera House to see Cinderella. We had front row seats and the tickets were like, ten dollars. It was awesome.

For Valentine's day, my buddies Megan, Esther and I watched Moulin Rouge and fangirled over it.

And finally, to celebrate all the birthdays that took place in the summer, we gave our traditional birthday booty dances. This is me and Emily celebrating Miranda's birthday.

Sketchbook Stuff

Summer is approaching, which means too much free time and True Blood. I recently put together a portfolio. A lot of what I put in it is already on this blog, but a lot of the sketchbook stuff isn't, so I thought I'd post it.

Cakes!

Here are some character sheets I did for my concept class! We had to take the story of Athena and Arachne and adapt it into a different story. Basically the story of Arachne is about how bragging is bad and will get you turned into a spider. I decided to take out the spider and put in some cakes, because cakes are easier to look at.

And here's the animatic! The date is wrong. I was putting this together very early in the morning, so it says 2010 instead of 2011, but I made this animatic this year, I swear.

Digital Drawing!

I've been so bad at updating my blog, but it's not because I'm not drawing! I think I've improved a lot this semester as far as digital drawing goes.

This is fanart. The Borders in Sarasota was having a huge closing sale, so over spring break I bought waaaay too many books. It reminded me how much I love reading. In honor of redheads and young adult fantasy, I drew some of my favorite redheads from my favorite young adult fantasy books. The characters are Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter, Gemma Doyle from The Gemma Doyle trilogy, Clary from The Mortal Instruments, and Alanna from The Song of the Lioness quartet.

This is Buffy, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Seriously, Buffy is my favorite TV show ever. The drawing's not perfect, but I like it anyway.

This is a still from one of my animatics. I don't know, I like it. I had a lot of fun with this character.

I'm going to try to update my blog twice a month from now on! I didn't make any new years resolutions, so that's my late new years resolution.
